General information
You can generally visit this website without providing any personal information. Personal data is only processed where technically necessary (e.g. when our server is accessed) or where you provide it to us yourself – for example when making an enquiry by email or phone. Depending on the case, the legal basis for processing is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR), the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (lit. b), or our legitimate interest in the secure and functional operation of the website (lit. f).
Hosting
This website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (340 S Lemon Ave #4133, Walnut, CA 91789, USA). When the website is accessed, Vercel processes technically necessary access data on our behalf. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel. Any transfer of data to the USA is safeguarded on the basis of the EU Standard Contractual Clauses and/or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.
Server log files
Each time this website is accessed, information transmitted by your browser is automatically recorded (so-called server log files): browser type and version, operating system used, the previously visited page (referrer URL), the date and time of access, and the IP address in shortened or anonymised form. This data is used solely for the technical provision, security, and stability of the website and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR.
Contacting us
If you contact us by email or phone, the details you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual or contractual measures) or lit. f (legitimate interest in responding to your enquiry). We do not pass on this data without your consent and delete it as soon as it is no longer required for the purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.
Cookies
This website does not use tracking or marketing cookies. A technically necessary cookie is set to store your preferred language (German/English). This cookie is required for the operation of the multilingual website and therefore does not require consent (legal basis Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Location map
To show our location, we use a static map image on the “Getting here” page that is served locally from our own server. The map image is based on map data from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors) but is stored as a finished image and is not loaded from third parties at runtime. Simply opening the page therefore does not establish any connection to Google, OpenStreetMap, or other third parties, and no personal data – in particular not your IP address – is transferred to third parties. Only when you click on the map or the “Open in Google Maps” button are you redirected to Google Maps. From that point on, the privacy policy of Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland) applies, available at https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Fonts
To display fonts consistently, we use fonts that are served locally from our own server (self-hosting). No connection to servers of Google or other third parties is established, and no personal data is transmitted to third parties.
Social media
Our website may contain links to our profiles on Facebook and Instagram (provider: Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Dublin 2, Ireland). These are simple links – no social media plugins are embedded that would transmit data to the operators merely by visiting our website. Only when you click on such a link and visit the respective platform is data transmitted to the provider. The provider's privacy policy then applies.
Your rights
With regard to your personal data, you generally have the following rights:
- Right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- Right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- Right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- Right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- Right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- Right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
- Right to withdraw consent with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Right to lodge a complaint
If you believe that the processing of your data infringes data protection law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde), Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna (www.dsb.gv.at).
Storage period
We process and store your personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the respective purpose or as required by statutory retention obligations. The data is deleted thereafter.
Status
This privacy policy will be updated as needed to reflect changed legal or technical circumstances. The current version published on this page applies in each case.
